Old-school board games and a karaoke setup for a light-hearted evening — perfect for groups and families. Free of Charge.

Designed for Team Building Activities. Participants are divided into two teams. A series of Tennis Balls are hidden around the resort garden, teams collect the pieces, assemble them, and make a little boat. The team that succesfully blows it across the pool using a straw will win a prize.

Wander through the kitchen garden filled with seasonal vegetables, fruits and aromatic flowers. At times we harvest for the day’s menu, and you can enjoy produce picked fresh from the soil.

Treat yourself to a rejuvenating hour of relaxation with our traditional massage therapy, expertly performed by local practitioners. The perfect way to unwind after a day of exploration.

The Berembun Forest Reserve is home to a rich variety of wildlife, birdlife and forest trees. The most suitable times for a nature walk are early in the morning or late in the evening, when the forest is at its most active and the sunrise or sunset can be enjoyed. Birdlife commonly seen in the area includes magpies, sunbirds, pheasants and eagles. With a little luck, guests may also catch sight of the majestic hornbills, often seen during sunset as they return to feed.

For a fee, an indigenous guide from the nearby Temuan village, also known as an Orang Asli, will accompany guests into the Berembun Forest Reserve. The jungle trail follows the Batang Benar River, where rejuvenating rock pools and a series of beautiful waterfalls can be found.

Enjoy a tranquil picnic by the river and waterfall, complete with a club sandwich, fresh fruit, drinks, and a comfortable picnic setup.

Seremban Equine Centre is roughly 15 minutes away for joy rides, lessons or renting a horse. Nearby Jelita Ostrich Farm offers tours, ostrich rides and a quirky stop for families.

Scenic Drives & Day Trips

A 30-minute drive from The Shorea on scenic Jalan Kuala Pilah will take you to Seri Menanti, home to the Royal Palace of the Minangkabau state. The palace, now a museum, displays historical artifacts and cultural exhibits. Known as Istana Lama Seri Menanti, this timber palace was built between 1902 and 1908 without nails, using hardwoods and chengal wood. Its roof is shaped like buffalo horns, a symbol of protection in Minangkabau culture.

Take a refreshing stop at this spot along Kuala Pilah Road, just 30 minutes from The Shorea. Enjoy the cool water cascades and have a picnic at this popular local recreation spot on the way to Kuala Pilah Town. Ulu Bendul has waterfall pools and shaded picnic spots — perfect for a short hike or family outing.

After a 45-minute drive along scenic Jalan Kuala Pilah, you'll reach the charming town of Kuala Pilah, known for its pre-war British colonial shophouses and traditional Malay houses on stilts, surrounded by rice fields. Local specialties include Minangkabau dishes like Masak Lemak Cili Api and Daging Salai Masak Lemak. The town, with roots dating back to the tin-mining days, now serves as a hub for trade and essential services. The drive offers scenic views of paddy fields and coconut trees, perfect for photos and a relaxing journey.
